Monel K500 Forged Fittings are made from a nickel-copper alloy combined with aluminum and titanium. This alloy contains approximately 63% nickel, 27-34% copper, 3% aluminum and 1% titanium. These materials exhibit excellent mechanical properties, including high strength and corrosion resistance, with tensile strengths up to 1,400 MPa and yield strengths of 1,200 MPa Advantages include excellent resistance to seawater and acidity, high strength reduction and excellent resistance to compression and corrosion cracking. They are ideal for tight spaces and critical applications.
