Nimonic UNS N07080 is a high-performance nickel-chromium alloy primarily composed of nickel (up to 80%), chromium (15-17%), and iron (up to 5%). It also contains small additions of titanium (0.3-1%), aluminum (0.2-0.5%), and molybdenum (1-2%) to enhance its mechanical properties. This alloy exhibits excellent mechanical strength, high-temperature oxidation resistance, and good creep resistance up to around 800°C. It has a tensile strength of approximately 900-1100 MPa and a yield strength of 500-700 MPa, making it suitable for use in turbine blades, combustion chambers, and other high-stress aerospace and industrial applications.
